What does Midpoint AI do?
Midpoint AI builds and runs AI systems for service businesses: KATE, an AI voice receptionist that answers and handles calls around the clock; AI-run CRM and back-office systems for invoicing, estimates and scheduling; AI search optimization so assistants recommend you; and websites built to be read by those assistants. It was founded by Simon Giancola, who ran call center operations for twenty years, and is based in Buffalo, New York.
Who is Midpoint AI for?
Service businesses that live on the phone, typically two to fifty people: plumbing and HVAC, property management, restoration, lawn care, mortgage, insurance, legal, concrete and cleaning companies. Most clients are in Buffalo and Western New York, and we work remotely with businesses anywhere in the United States.
What does Midpoint AI not do?
We are not a call center and not a human answering service; nobody at Midpoint picks up your phone. We do not resell a generic chatbot or a self-serve app. We do not require a contract.
Is there a contract or notice period?
No. Monthly service is billed at the start of each month and an email is all it takes to cancel. Service runs to the end of the paid month. We earn the business every month.
How is KATE different from an answering service?
An answering service takes a message. KATE handles the call: she qualifies the caller, captures the address and the problem, books the appointment, texts the owner a summary and transfers when a person is needed. Across the agents we run, three in four calls are resolved with no person involved and about one in four arrives after hours or on a weekend.
What is AI search optimization?
Making a business the answer when someone asks an AI assistant who to call. That means structured data an assistant can quote, plain copy that says what the business does and does not do, listings that agree with the website, a site map and llms.txt written for AI crawlers, and a monthly run of the questions buyers actually ask, logged so progress is measured rather than guessed.
